Jacques Chirac of France Speaks out in Support of a World Tax
Story dated 06 January 2005
"Chirac suggested an international tax and a humanitarian UN rapid reaction force." Watch him folks, 'cause he's a fairly dangerous man. Let me explain. Despite the problems with our tax system, we the people can change it if enough of us work in concert. We vote for our representatives who are the people who ultimately decide how we are going to be taxed. This is not the case with the UN. We the people have almost nothing to do with the UN. The UN does not necessarily respect the Constitution of these United States, and we little or no say in how the UN is run. As it currently stands, if the UN takes too much of an anti-US stance, we can make a lot of noise and convince our representatives to withhold funding from the organization. If the UN could raise its own money, it could attack the United States and its many Constitutional guarantees with impunity. The UN could tax
you without having to ask your permission. The power to tax is the power to control (or destroy) and we the people simply do not have enough control over the UN to entrust it with this power. Thus, anyone who supports an international tax is an enemy of your freedom, whether or not they know it. Keep an eye out for noise about an international tax, folks. The minute you hear it suggested, you should write your senators and representatives and say 'no'.
