Secret Talks 'To Save Annan and Rescue UN'
Story dated 03 January 2005
Apparently, the UN got the memo that the Congress of these United States is none-too-pleased with their highly publicized anti-Americanism and their not-so-highly publicized corruption. These talks were held "in the apartment of Richard Holbrooke, who was US ambassador to the UN during the administration of Bill Clinton." Mr. Holbrooke stated that "no one wanted to give the impression of a group of outsiders, all of them Americans, dictating what to do to a secretary general. . . [but] the UN, without the US behind it, is a failed institution." That is very true.
