Just Shoot Them

Why is there rioting in France? Because the French authorities lack the courage to do what is needed to protect the People. If French riot police were to shoot the most pernicious of the rioters, the rest of them would probably disperse. I give this advice freely to the French government, and ask, for the sake of the decent people who actually live in France, that they take it.

And why is the media loath to identify these people as Muslims? Because they are not just 'youths'; they are Muslim youths.

The rioters claim that they are rioting because of discrimination. Even if this is true, they are criminals and should be dealt with as such. You do not destroy the property of private citizens if your gripe is with the government. If I were in charge, I would give my police officers orders to shoot to kill.

Interesting that this happened at a time when Prince Charles of England is saying that we need to ignore the violence coming out of the Muslim community and think of them as no different than, say, a Japanese community.

In other news, Muslim raiders attempted to take over a luxury cruise liner off the coast of Africa. These murderous criminals are seldom identified as Muslims.

Anonymous said...: First of all, you can't just take something they are and patch it onto their names. It is like saying "the male pirates" or "the African pirates". You have to think, are they pirates because they are Muslims, or something else?

About the riots in France, notice they are mostly teenagers? It is not just Islam that's driving them, its bottled energy. One can presume the areas they live in have poor schools. Thus there is little chance for any real athletics or anything creative to spend all the extra energy of youth on. Instead, they lead lives of going to badly-managed schools, and coming home to a home where their parents barely stay in touch with them. In such lives, the moment something "adventurous" like this comes up, all sense dissapears.; 11/11/2005 9:23 PM

The Sovereign Editor said...: Nice to hear from you, Scriptor. You make a good point. However, it is worth noting that it is not, for example, Vietnamese youths who are rioting. No matter what their motivation, I stand by what I said. "Youthful adventurism" is no excuse for the destruction of property. If you are old enough to torch someone's car, you're old enough to take the consequences. I think the Singapore model might also work well here.

As for the pirates, you raise an excellent question. "Are they pirates because they are Muslims, or something else?" This is a question that our major media reporters should be asking.

In the New World, pirates were Christian. But only a lunatic would suggest that their piracy was religiously motivated. (You may wish to note, however, that the only thing differentiating the actions of Conquistadores from those of pirates is the sanction of the Church and of the Spanish government).; 11/12/2005 12:24 AM
