Scientist specializing in creating microbes resistant to biological weapons murdered

World Health Organization expert and head of the anti-microbe Therapy Research Institute Professor Leonid Strachunsky has been murdered. "Strachunsky's body was found in the Slavyanka hotel on Suvorovskaya Square on Tuesday morning. According to the results of an experts' investigation, Strachunsky died after being struck in the head with a heavy item. His laptop and mobile telephone were also missing from his hotel room."

"An investigation is checking whether the mass outbreak of hepatitis A in the Tver region near Moscow could be linked to the biological weapons sector. This man is the latest in a list of dozens of prominent scientists who hever either been murdered or otherwise mysteriously died over the past several years. The fact that a good number of these people have been microbiologists (people qualified to work do reasearch in the biological weapons field) should worry us.
