Taiwan Uneasy About China's Plans for 'Anti-Secession' Law
Story dated 21 December 2004
I don't blame them considering that the tyrannical Chinese government considers Taiwan to be a rogue province. What many of you might not know is that the government of Taiwan actually has legal title to Taiwan that pre-dates the seizure of power on the mainland by the Communist thugs. The current government of Taiwan is the former government of China that fled to the island in the aftermath of the Communist revolution led by the tyrant, murder, and robber known as Mao. The Government in mainland China has no claim to Taiwan under international laws concerning sovereignty since they never possessed Taiwan -- in fact, if a claim by mainland China were recognized, we would also have to consider any claim by Japan since they actually ruled Taiwan for a while (unlike the Communist Chinese). It's time for the UN to grow up and let China know that violation of Taiwan's sovereignty will not be tolerated. If they don't, the U.S., U.K., Japan, Australia, Canada, Israel, Switzerland, India, Taiwan, and all other liberal republics need to form their own international body to deal with violations of sovereignty by authoritarian regimes.
