Bank of America Boycotted Over Support for Illegals I already withdrew my recommendations of Bank of America as a decent financial institution during the Matthew Shinnick incident last year. For those of you who are unaware, this involved Bank of America having a customer arrested because he had been given a fraudulent check pursuant to an internet sale.(1)
The fact that Bank of America would rather have an innocent person arrested rather than enlisting that person's help to track down the person attempting to write a fraudulent check should be enough to keep people from wanting to do business with them. In case it isn't, Bank of America has decided to extend credit to illegal immigrants.(2) That's right; Bank of America made the conscious and likely well-researched decision to aid and abet people who are in America in violation of our laws. Keep that in mind next time you consider whether or not Bank of America might be worthy of your business.
To their credit, the National Illegal Immigration Boycott Coalition has selected Bank of America as the focus of their next major boycott. (3)
